Adin Hill stopped 35 shots for Vegas, while Ottawa’s Adam Gaudette scored twice. Linus Ullmark, returning from injury, made 22 saves for the Senators.

Predators Come Back to Edge Blackhawks 3-2

Brady Skjei broke a 2-2 tie with a third-period power-play goal, helping the Nashville Predators rally past the Chicago Blackhawks in Chicago. After trailing by two, the Predators surged back with goals from Filip Forsberg and Gustav Nyquist. Juuse Saros made 27 saves for Nashville, which picked up its second straight win. Connor Bedard and Craig Smith scored for the Blackhawks, while Petr Mrazek stopped 31 shots in the loss.

Horvat’s Overtime Goal Lifts Islanders Over Devils 4-3

Bo Horvat scored the overtime winner as the New York Islanders edged the New Jersey Devils 4-3 in Newark, N.J. Horvat’s one-timer, set up by Mathew Barzal, beat Jake Allen at 1:08 in overtime. New Jersey forced OT with Jesper Bratt’s goal with just 1:29 left in regulation. Ilya Sorokin made 32 saves for New York, while Allen recorded 26 saves for the Devils, who have now dropped four in a row.


Oilers Blank Penguins 4-0 Behind Skinner’s Shutout

Stuart Skinner earned his first shutout of the season with 27 saves as the Edmonton Oilers defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-0 in Edmonton. Evan Bouchard led the Oilers’ offense with a goal and an assist, while Leon Draisaitl, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, and Mattias Ekholm also found the net. Joel Blomqvist turned away 46 shots for the Penguins, who have now lost four straight games.
