Leon Draisaitl scored twice, including the game-winner with 1:07 left in overtime, as the Edmonton Oilers edged the New York Islanders 2-1 on Friday in Elmont, N.Y.
Draisaitl, who also opened the scoring in the second period, now leads the NHL with 49 goals and 100 points. Calvin Pickard made 24 saves as the Oilers snapped a two-game skid.
Bo Horvat scored in the third for the Islanders, who have lost three straight but remain four points behind the final Eastern Conference wild-card spot. Ilya Sorokin stopped 33 shots for New York.

Frederik Andersen made 24 saves as the Carolina Hurricanes extended their winning streak to six games with a 4-2 victory over the Detroit Red Wings in Raleigh, N.C.

Alex Killorn broke a third-period tie as the Anaheim Ducks defeated the Nashville Predators 2-1.
Troy Terry also scored for Anaheim, which had lost four of its previous five games. Lukas Dostal made 28 saves.
Jakub Vrana netted the lone goal for Nashville, which had won four straight entering the matchup. Juuse Saros stopped 13 shots in the loss.
Connor Leads Jets Past Stars, 4-1
Kyle Connor recorded two goals and an assist, while Mark Scheifele contributed three assists in the Winnipeg Jets’ 4-1 win over the Dallas Stars.
Connor Hellebuyck turned aside 24 of 25 shots. Dylan Samberg and Morgan Barron also scored for Winnipeg.
Mason Marchment scored Dallas’ only goal late in the third period, and Jake Oettinger made 18 saves.
