Mattias Ekholm scored the game-winner 1:04 into overtime, capping a two-goal comeback for the Edmonton Oilers. Connor McDavid tied the game late in the third, extending his point streak, while Leon Draisaitl added three assists. Stuart Skinner stopped 24 shots.
Boston jumped out to a 2-0 first-period lead on goals by Elias Lindholm and Mark Kastelic, but they couldn’t hold off Edmonton, finishing their Western road trip at 2-2-1.

Avalanche 4, Sharks 2

Joel Kiviranta scored two third-period goals to lift Colorado over San Jose. Mikko Rantanen and Valeri Nichushkin also scored, while Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar each added two assists. Mackenzie Blackwood made 32 saves.
The Sharks got goals from Carl Grundstrom and William Eklund, but Alexandar Georgiev, facing his former team, couldn’t stop the Avalanche from handing San Jose its sixth loss in seven games.


Penguins 5, Predators 4 (OT)

Bryan Rust netted his second goal of the night 1:07 into overtime, completing a four-point performance to push Pittsburgh past Nashville. Sidney Crosby contributed a goal and three assists, and Rickard Rakell and Erik Karlsson added goals.
Despite scoring from Filip Forsberg and Brady Skjei, the Predators lost after holding a late-game lead.


Lightning 3, Blues 1

Nikita Kucherov extended his points streak to nine games, helping Tampa Bay secure its fourth straight win. Gage Goncalves scored his first NHL goal, while Anthony Cirelli and Nick Perbix also found the net.
St. Louis’ Pavel Buchnevich scored to continue his strong form, but Jordan Binnington was pulled after allowing three goals on 11 shots.


Kings 7, Flyers 3

Anze Kopitar and Kevin Fiala each scored twice, powering Los Angeles to a commanding win over Philadelphia. Darcy Kuemper made 23 saves for the Kings.
Philadelphia’s Tyson Foerster registered two goals and an assist, but the Flyers couldn’t match the Kings’ four-goal third period.


Blackhawks 3, Kraken 1

Ilya Mikheyev scored twice, and Teuvo Teravainen had two assists as Chicago earned its third straight victory. Arvid Soderblom stopped 27 shots in the win.
Seattle’s lone goal came from Ryker Evans, but Kaapo Kakko made his Kraken debut after being acquired in a trade.


Blue Jackets 4, Devils 2

Elvis Merzlikins delivered a stellar 40-save performance to help Columbus snap a five-game skid. Sean Monahan scored twice, while Ivan Provorov and Zach Werenski added goals.
The Devils’ rally fell short despite goals from Luke Hughes and Timo Meier.


Senators 3, Flames 2 (OT)

Brady Tkachuk scored 55 seconds into overtime, extending Ottawa’s win streak to five games. Tim Stutzle and Nick Cousins also scored, while Linus Ullmark stopped 29 shots.
Jonathan Huberdeau and Blake Coleman scored for Calgary, which has lost three of its last four games.

Golden Knights 3, Canucks 1

William Karlsson scored the game-winner early in the third period, and Brett Howden added a goal and an assist as Vegas topped Vancouver. Adin Hill stopped 19 shots.
Vancouver’s Teddy Blueger scored their only goal as they dropped their fifth game in the last seven. Kevin Lankinen, returning from illness, allowed three goals on 18 shots.
