Cole Caufield’s second goal of the night arrived 3:21 into overtime, giving host Montreal its third straight win. Caufield, who matched his career-high 28 goals, added an assist. Nick Suzuki had two goals and an assist, and Sam Montembeault turned aside 23 shots. Will Smith (goal, assist) and Fabian Zetterlund (goal) led San Jose, which fell to 0-4-3 in its last seven.
Penguins 5, Flyers 4 (OT)
Evgeni Malkin netted the tying goal early in the third period and capped a four-point performance by notching the overtime winner 1:03 into the extra session, helping Pittsburgh snap a four-game skid. Erik Karlsson scored twice for the Penguins, who overcame a 3-0 deficit. Philadelphia’s Matvei Michkov posted two goals and an assist, and Samuel Ersson recorded 20 saves.

Ivan Barbashev (two goals, two assists) and Keegan Kolesar (two goals) highlighted Vegas’ five-goal first period, tying a franchise record. Philip Broberg scored twice and St. Louis collected its third straight win. Dylan Holloway, Colton Parayko, and Jake Neighbours (goal, assist) also chipped in for the Blues, while Joel Hofer stopped 16 shots. Connor McMichael and Pierre-Luc Dubois scored for Washington, but Alex Ovechkin (four shots) remained at 883 goals, still 11 behind Wayne Gretzky’s NHL record.
Ducks 5, Canucks 2
Ryan Strome and Troy Terry each recorded a goal and two assists, rallying host Anaheim from a two-goal deficit to its first win over Vancouver in three years. Frank Vatrano, Jackson LaCombe, and Cutter Gauthier also scored. Tyler Myers (goal, assist) and Pius Suter (goal) accounted for the Canucks’ offense, but Anaheim scored five unanswered goals in the final two periods.

A pair of third-period goals, from Nate Schmidt and Carter Verhaeghe, earned Florida a home victory over Edmonton. Leon Draisaitl’s league-leading 44th goal in the second marked his seventh consecutive game with a tally, but the Oilers have lost five straight. Anton Lundell and Uvis Balinskis also scored for the Panthers, winners of four of their last five.
Utah 6, Wild 1
Clayton Keller’s five-point night (goal, four assists) spurred Utah to its third straight win, crushing visiting Minnesota. Nick Schmaltz (goal, two assists), Logan Cooley, Barret Hayton, Dylan Guenther, and Sean Durzi also chipped in for Utah. The Wild’s lone goal came from Frederick Gaudreau, while Marc-Andre Fleury allowed six goals on 31 shots.
