Prop Bets Make Dollar Bills Y’all – December 18

The number of prop bets for tonight’s Monday night football matchup between Philadelphia and Seattle is almost mind boggling. Check your sportsbook and you will find team prop bets, individual player prop bets, and even game specials that mix and match the two. You can bet on the game’s final score. Eagles 37, Seahawks 32 is listed at +50000, by the way.

Popular sportsbooks will also put together “same game” parlays. Remember, parlay bets are simply those that combine two or more bets into a single wager. The most popular same game parlays are those that combine a number of prop bets. Tonight, Jalen Hurts, A.J. Brown, D.K. Metcalf, and DeVonta Smith all in the Anytime TD Scorer category together in a same game parlay is given +3359 odds. If all four players score a touchdown, you’d be a winner!

Most Popular NFL Prop Bets

The most popular prop bets in an NFL game are those related to player statistics. It all starts with quarterbacks, the most important position in all of sports. Bettors can wager on passing prop bets. These include bets on passing yards, passing TDs, passing attempts, and even the longest pass.

Tonight, for example, we can place a wager on whether or not Eagles QB Jalen Hurts will pass for Over or Under 242.5 yards. This season, Hurts has gone Over this number in 7 of 13 games. However, in his last five games, he has only thrown for more than 207 yards one time. Keep that in mind if you are considering betting on Hurts in this category.

There are hundreds of prop bets for tonight’s NFL game

With Seattle’s quarterback situation up in the air, there are no prop bets listed in the passing props category. That is usually the case when a quarterback’s status is questionable heading into a game. That’s okay, because there are plenty of other prop bets from which to choose.

Bettors can choose from a number of rushing and receiving prop bets. You can wager on the Over-Under on a player’s rushing yards total. Tonight, Hurts’ rushing total is 31.5. You can bet the Over or the Under at -113 odds. The receiving prop bets are also popular. You can bet on a player’s total number of receptions or his receiving yardage total.

Prop Bets in Other Sports

Prop bets aren’t limited to football. You can bet on all sorts of props in the NBA and NHL. The same goes for college football (there is a bowl game today) and college basketball. Like NFL prop bets, NBA props include those related to player statistics as well as team props and other specials.

There are tons of NBA player prop bets every day

The Race to 20 is a popular prop where bettors pick the team they think will reach 20 points first in a game. The First Basket prop is another popular one where you bet on which player will score the first basket of the game. Then, there are all the individual statistical prop bets. Tonight, the Dallas Mavericks play the Denver Nuggets. Bettors can wager on Luka Doncic to go Over or Under 34.5 points. Bettors can also wager on Nikola Jokic to Over or Under 27.5 points for the Nuggets. There are all sorts of prop bets for points, rebounds, assists, blocked shots and combinations of these categories.

Cappers Making Bank Again

It is a daily occurrence here at Sports Hub. If you’ve been a loyal reader (thank you, by the way), you know that our Sports Hub handicappers are built for one thing – winning. They were at it again yesterday.

Let’s say you’re a Sports Hub member and you figured you’d go to the picks database and select some of our hottest cappers. You pick four Sports Hub experts and you make the exact same picks they make. You’d wake up today with a little bit of a hangover because you were celebrating your 14-1 day in which you made a cool $1300! Yeah, that’s what we do here.

Who were those four cappers?

  • Seth Cohen goes 5-0: Even if you had just picked Seth because you wanted to make NFL picks, you would have won $500. Seth nailed all five of his picks, all of which were on NFL games. Over the last 30 days now, Seth is winning 61.7 percent of his bets and is third on the 30-day leaderboard with $1827 in winnings.

Sports Hub experts at it again
  • The Insider again: If you’re not tailing our Sports Hub Insider account, something’s wrong. The Insider has been at the top of the leaderboard for the last several days. Yesterday was another 3-0, $300 day for the Insider. Over just the last three days, the Insider is 9-0 and has won $1083. The Insider hasn’t missed a pick since Dec. 13.
  • Robert Ferguson went 3-0: Maybe you just wanted another NFL guy. Robert made three NFL picks yesterday and hit all three to win $300. In fact, over the last two weeks, Robert is 10-4 on his NFL picks and is up $560. He’s third on the 14-day NFL leaderboard.
  • The Bookie: The only one of the four Sports Hub experts to lose a pick was The Bookie, but it didn’t matter because he nailed his other three picks. The Bookie won $200, which put four Sports Hub cappers in yesterday’s top-5.

Ravens Clinch, Curry’s Streak Ends

The Baltimore Ravens became the first team in the AFC to clinch a playoff spot in the NFL playoff race. The Ravens beat Jacksonville 23-7 last night. Steph Curry is trending, but for the wrong reasons.

Let’s see what’s trending.

  • Clinching playoff spots: The Ravens clinched a playoff spot with their win last night. The 49ers had already clinched a playoff berth, but also clinched the NFC West Division with their 45-29 win over Arizona yesterday. The loss officially eliminated the Cardinals from the postseason. Dallas and Philadelphia both clinched playoff spots as a result of yesterday’s action. The Eagles (10-3) play tonight and are still battling the Cowboys for the NFC East crown. Dallas lost to Buffalo yesterday.
  • Curry streak ends: In Dec. of 2018, Golden State’s Stephen Curry began a streak that lasted until yesterday. Curry hit at least one three-pointer in every game he played since Dec. 1, 2018. Yesterday, Curry went 0-for-8 from behind the arc and his streak ended at 268 games. You can bet three-point prop bets in the NBA and would have been a winner if you had bet Curry’s Under yesterday.
  • Rams & Bucs: Who would have thought that the Rams and the Buccaneers would be playoff teams? Right now, they both are. LA beat Washington yesterday 28-20 for its fourth win in five games. The Rams own the seventh and final playoff spot with a 7-7 record. The Bucs smoked Green Bay 34-20 yesterday to move to win their third straight and go 7-7 on the season. They are currently first in the NFC South.
