Euro Soccer Top Leagues – Recap 

Premier League 

There was a titanic clash in the English Premier League last Sunday as Arsenal defeated league leaders Liverpool 3-1 at Emirates Stadium. The result was huge for the Gunners as it allowed them to stay in the title race. 

Luton Town pulled off a mesmerizing 4-4 draw away to Newcastle United to move out of the drop zone. That has seen Everton now fall to 18th-place after they snatched a late 2-2 draw at home to Tottenham Hotspur. 

Ligue 1

Champions Paris Saint-Germain extended their lead at the top of Ligue 1 after they defeated Strasbourg 2-1 away from home last Friday. 2nd-placed Nice dropped points in a 0-0 draw away to Brest, allowing PSG to increase the gap. 

I had two picks from the French top-flight last weekend. One of the wagers managed to land as I selected the under in the Nantes vs Lens game (0-0). However, I missed with my selection of Brest to beat Nice. 

La Liga 

Giants Real Madrid thought that they were cruising to a comfortable lead at the top of La Liga last Sunday. However, they conceded a goal right at the death in their derby matchup against Atletico Madrid. Still, they remain 2 points ahead of Girona. 

I included just one selection from Spain last weekend in my picks article. Having selected U2 goals in the Granada vs Las Palmas game, the bet was pushed after the match ended 1-1. Odds of +131 made it worth the risk, and it came close to landing. 

Bundesliga

It was business as usual in the Bundesliga last weekend as Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and Stuttgart all won again. However, Borussia Dortmund disappointingly dropped points away to Heidenheim. 

I focused on Bundesliga Matchday 20 picks last week for my feature Euro soccer picks. I went 2-0 with the wagers as well, landing the Unders in both the RB Leipzig vs Union Berlin (2-0) and FC Köln vs Frankfurt (2-0) matches. Once again, Germany has proven to be a top revenue source when it comes to soccer bets. 

Serie A 

In a huge game at the summit of Serie A last Sunday, Inter came out on top with a 1-0 win over 2nd-placed Juventus. The Nerazzurri have now gained a 4-point lead at the top of the table, and even have a game in hand. Serie A Matchday 24 picks are available below.

We’ll kick off Serie A Matchday 24 picks with a gigantic matchup between 19-time Serie A winners Milan and current champions Napoli. Check out the moneyline prices for the affair below:

Andrea Pioli’s Milan are looking to lengthen their 8-game unbeaten streak in Serie A on Sunday as they welcome a struggling Napoli side to San Siro. The Rossoneri have been in excellent form of late, and recorded a 3-2 win away to Frosinone in their last outing. 

It’s been a season of fragility for the Partenopei who have failed miserably in defending their crown. New boss Walter Mazzarri has done very little to improve results, and Napoli have failed to win any of their last five consecutive road games, losing four in the process. 

Milan should find the win here, considering the visitors’ atrocious away form. The Partenopei haven’t scored across any of their last four road matchups to boot.

Serie A Matchday 24 Picks – Juventus vs Udinese Prediction 

Looking to respond following a significant 1-0 loss away to Inter in their last match, Juventus will know nothing but a victory will be expected when they play host to Udinese at Allianz Stadium on Monday. The Old Lady were hit with their first defeat in 17 league games last weekend as they lost 1-0 at San Siro to Inter. That makes it two successive matches without a win for Juve. 

Udinese have struggled a lot this term and have recorded just two league wins all season (joint-lowest in Serie A). They defeated Bologna 3-0 to end 2023, but have failed to find a single victory across all five outings in 2024.

Xabi Alonso’s Die Werkself have stunned the German top-flight this season as they bid for their first-ever Bundesliga title. They still haven’t even lost any of their 20 league outings so far this term, and secured a 2-0 win away to Darmstadt in their last league match. 

The visitors have dropped points in some unexpected games thus far, like when they suffered a 1-0 defeat at home to Werder Bremen at the end of last month. Nevertheless, they have won three on the bounce since then and remain just two points behind Leverkusen. 

We’re riding the Leverkusen hype train for this one. Bayern are nowhere near their best this season, and home advantage will see Alonso’s men take all three points.

Ligue 1 Matchday 21 Picks – Toulouse vs Nantes Prediction

Toulouse will continue in their surge to rise up the Ligue 1 standings on Sunday as they welcome Nantes to Stadium Municipal. Below are the latest moneyline prices for the match:

The home side have started to record a few more wins of late to move up to 12th-place in the table after hovering around the relegation places in the first half of the campaign. They picked up a 3-2 win away to Reims last time out, bucking the trend of a lack of goals. 

Nantes are on a run of four-straight competitive matches without a win, and have scored just one goal in the process. That poor run extends to six in the league, losing five and drawing just once. They have scored just two goals in Ligue 1 in that time so are severely struggling in front of goal of late.

La Liga Matchday 24 Picks – Real Madrid vs Girona Prediction

It’s a weekend schedule of top European soccer as the top two teams meet in La Liga. Real Madrid will square off against Girona at Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday as they look to build their lead at the top of the standings. Be sure to look at the current moneyline prices for the game:
