David Joplin showcased a career-best performance with 29 points, including six 3-pointers, to lead No. 15 Marquette to an 80-69 victory over Georgia in Nassau, Bahamas.
Chase Ross and Ben Gold contributed 14 points each, while Kam Jones added 10 points and seven assists for the Golden Eagles (6-0). Marquette’s decisive 9-0 run late in the second half helped them pull away after Georgia trimmed their lead to three with under five minutes left.
For the Bulldogs (5-1), Blue Cain tallied 17 points, hitting five 3-pointers, while Tyrin Lawrence added 15 points. Dakota Leffew chipped in 11 points off the bench, including a key stretch in an 11-0 run earlier in the half.

Purdue Dominates Marshall in 80-45 Victory
No. 6 Purdue bounced back from a tough loss earlier this week, rolling past Marshall behind Trey Kaufman-Renn’s game-high 18 points.
With starting center Daniel Jacobsen sidelined, Purdue (5-1) adjusted seamlessly as Camden Heide and Myles Colvin—making their first career starts—each contributed 13 points. The Boilermakers shot 50 percent from the floor and controlled the game defensively, holding Marshall (3-2) to just 30.2 percent shooting and a dismal 4-of-32 from beyond the arc.
Nate Martin led the Thundering Herd with nine points and seven rebounds.
Cincinnati Cruises Past Georgia Tech
No. 18 Cincinnati remained undefeated with an 81-58 win over Georgia Tech in Atlanta, led by Dillon Mitchell’s double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Mitchell, a transfer from Texas, recorded his first double-double with the Bearcats (5-0). He was supported by Connor Hickman and Jizzle James, who both added 14 points. James also contributed seven assists and two steals in a commanding team effort.
For Georgia Tech (2-3), Naithan George led with 13 points, and Duncan Powell scored 10. The Yellow Jackets struggled offensively and have now dropped two consecutive games.

Illinois Overwhelms Maryland Eastern Shore
No. 25 Illinois rebounded emphatically from their midweek loss to Alabama, dominating Maryland Eastern Shore 87-40 in Champaign, Ill.
Will Riley led the Illini (4-1) with 19 points off the bench, while Morez Johnson Jr. posted his first double-double of the season with 10 points and 13 rebounds. Kylan Boswell scored 13 points, and Tomislav Ivisic added 11 as Illinois pulled away in the second half, extending their lead to as much as 52 points.
The Eagles (2-6) struggled to generate offense, with Jalen Ware scoring 10 points before fouling out. Leading scorer KC Shaw, averaging 23.4 points per game this season, was held to just seven points on 2-of-11 shooting.
