Freshman Jeremiah Fears delivered a career-high 30 points, including a game-winning four-point play with 11.5 seconds remaining, as Oklahoma edged Michigan at the Jumpman Invitational in Charlotte, N.C.
Trailing by three, Fears drained a clutch 3-pointer while being fouled and converted the free throw to put the Sooners (11-0) ahead. Michigan’s Tre Donaldson attempted a last-second 3-pointer, but it bounced off the rim, and Danny Wolf’s rebound came too late to attempt another shot.
Vladislav Goldin led Michigan (8-3) with 26 points on 10-of-12 shooting, but the Wolverines couldn’t hold off Oklahoma’s second-half surge.

No. 6 Alabama 97, North Dakota 90
Grant Nelson shined in his homecoming, recording 23 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks as Alabama survived a tough challenge in Grand Forks, N.D. Nelson’s tiebreaking layup with under two minutes left helped seal the Crimson Tide’s victory.
Mark Sears also scored 23 points, and Labaron Philon added 16 for Alabama (9-2).

Kam Jones scored 23 points to lead Marquette to a win over Butler in the Big East opener for both teams.

Jahmyl Telfort posted a double-double with 16 points and 10 boards for Butler (7-5, 0-1), which has dropped four straight games.

Braden Huff scored 25 points on 11-of-12 shooting, and Graham Ike added 20 points as Gonzaga snapped a two-game losing streak with a dominant win in Spokane, Wash.
Ryan Nembhard recorded a double-double with 18 points and 10 assists for Gonzaga (8-3), which bounced back from consecutive losses for the first time since 2018.
Byron Ireland scored 16 points for Nicholls (7-5), which saw its five-game winning streak come to an end.

Terrance Arceneaux scored a career-high 16 points as Houston extended its home winning streak to 28 games with a commanding win over Toledo.
Emanuel Sharp and Joseph Tugler each added 13 points for Houston (7-3). Sharp shook off an early ankle injury to contribute key minutes.
Sam Lewis led Toledo (6-5) with 14 points as the Rockets suffered their fourth loss in five games.

PJ Haggerty scored 21 of his 27 points in the second half to rally Memphis from an 11-point deficit to defeat Virginia in Charlottesville, Va.
The Tigers (9-2) improved to 6-0 against ACC teams under coach Penny Hardaway. Dain Dainja added a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Tyrese Hunter scored 12 points.
Elijah Saunders led Virginia (6-5) with 15 points. The Cavaliers lost their first home game of the season and fell to 0-4 against ranked opponents.
