Jackson Shelstad hit two clutch free throws with seven seconds remaining to lift No. 15 Oregon to a 73-71 victory over Ohio State in Columbus. Shelstad, who tied his career high with 24 points, put the Ducks (14-2, 3-2 Big Ten) ahead 72-71 before the Buckeyes’ Bruce Thornton missed a potential game-winning 3-pointer with two seconds left. Nate Bittle added a free throw with one second remaining to secure the win. Bittle finished with 21 points and eight rebounds.
Ohio State (10-6, 2-3 Big Ten) briefly took the lead on two free throws by John Mobley Jr. with 12.6 seconds remaining after a steal by Thornton. Thornton led the Buckeyes with 20 points, and Mobley added 16 in the hard-fought loss.

No. 16 Michigan State Crushes Washington for Eighth Straight Win
Jaden Akins scored 20 points as No. 16 Michigan State rolled to an 88-54 win over Washington in East Lansing. Jeremy Fears Jr. recorded his first career double-double with 12 points and 10 assists, while Jase Richardson and Tre Holloman added 12 and 11 points, respectively.
The Spartans (13-2, 4-0 Big Ten) dominated from the outset, holding Washington (10-6, 1-4) without a field goal for the first 10 minutes of the game. The Huskies missed their first 14 shots and committed four turnovers during the stretch. Tyler Harris led Washington with 14 points, while Zoom Diallo added eight.

No. 20 Purdue Handles Rutgers in Big Ten Battle
Braden Smith delivered a standout performance with 16 points and 14 assists as No. 20 Purdue defeated Rutgers 68-50 in Piscataway, N.J. Trey Kaufman-Renn also scored 16 points, including a momentum-sealing dunk off a Smith assist late in the game.
