The UFC is back this weekend and we have uncovered the best UFC Fight Night 235 predictions. There are some solid fights on the main card, but the prelims don’t feature a single ranked fighter.

UFC Fight Night 235 will be hosted at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Roman Dolidze will fight Nassourdine Imavov in the main event. Renato Moicano will fight Drew Dober in the co-main event. Molly McCann is headlining the prelims against Diana Belbita on Saturday.

UFC Fight Night 235 Preview

When: Saturday, February 3rd 2024

Where: UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada

Time: 4:00 PM ET (Prelims) / 7:00 PM ET (Main Card)

Watch: ESPN+ (USA) / SportsNet (Canada)

There are six ranked fighters on the main card, including those in the main and co-main events. The other two ranked fighters are Viviane Araujo (#7 WFW) and Natalia Silva (#9 WFW).

The UFC Fight Night 235 weigh-ins are complete and only Luana Carolina missed weight. We’re waiting to see if the fight will happen. I have a play on the Carolina vs. Stoliarenko fight, so I hope it happens.

Let’s jump into my UFC Fight Night 235 predictions.

Expert UFC Fight Night 235 Predictions

This is a tough fight card to predict, as many fights are close. I expect several underdogs to pick up wins on Saturday. There are numerous favorites in the -200/-300 odds range that are difficult to trust.

My betting card isn’t too big this weekend, but I want to focus on quality over quantity. At the end of the day, turning a profit on events is more important than trying to force plays on a tough card.

Here are my UFC Fight Night 235 predictions:

Roman Dolidze vs. Nassourdine Imavov Prediction

  • Fight Odds: Dolidze (+140) vs. Imavov (-160)

Dolidze (12-2) is coming off a decision loss against Marvin Vettori. Imavov (12-4-0-1) went 0-1-0-1 last year in the UFC, with the loss coming against Sean Strickland. He’s coming off a NC.

Prior to the Vettori loss, Dolidze had won four consecutive fights, with three wins by TKO/KO. Both guys are capable of landing takedowns, but Imavov has much better TD defense (72% vs. 33%). Dolidze is averaging 3.02 SLpM and 3.01 SApM, while Imavov averages 4.55 SLpM and 3.76 SApM.

This is a five-round fight, but it’s unlikely to go the distance.

Renato Moicano vs. Drew Dober Prediction

  • Fight Odds: Moicano (-190) vs. Dober (+160)

Moicano has limited power (zero TKO/KO wins), but he has ten submission wins. He’s 5-4 in his last nine fights and all five wins were by submission. Dober (27-12-0-1) has 14 TKO/KO wins and lots of power.

Moicano averages 1.66 takedowns per 15 minutes and Dober only has 56% TD defense. Dober averages 4.58 SLpM and 4.46 SApM, while Moicano averages 4.75 SLpM and 4.07 SApM. This fight comes down to whether Moicano can lock in a submission. If he can’t, Dober’s power will likely overwhelm him.

Moicano has been knocked out three times in his career and Dober has been tapped four times.

Randy Brown is one of my best UFC Fight Night 235 predictions
Randy Brown is one of my best UFC Fight Night 235 predictions

Randy Brown vs. Muslim Salikhov Prediction

  • Fight Odds: Brown (-280) vs. Salikhov (+240)

Brown (17-5) is 7-2 in the UFC since 2019, with losses against Vicente Luque and JDM. His last four wins have been by decision. Salikhov (19-4) is 1-2 since 2022 and is coming off a loss against Nicolas Dalby.

Both fighters have TD defense above 70%, so I expect most of this fight to be on the feet. Salikhov comes into the fight averaging 3.37 SLpM and 2.91 SApM. He’s a low volume fighter and that volume might be even lower, as Brown has an 8” reach advantage. Brown averages 4.38 SLpM and 3.33 SApM.

I like Brown to get the win and I’m going with him by decision for my UFC Fight Night 235 predictions.

Best Bet: Randy Brown by Decision (+105)

Viviane Araujo vs. Natalia Silva Prediction

  • Fight Odds: Araujo (+285) vs. Silva (-350)

Araujo (12-5) is 2-3 in her last five fights, but she defeated Jennifer Maia last October. Silva (16-5-1) is 4-0 in the UFC, with two wins by TKO. Silva has won nine consecutive fights coming into this one.

Araujo averages 4.34 SLpM, 5.19 SApM and 1.83 takedowns per 15 minutes. Silva has 92% TD defense. Silva averages 5.20 SLpM and 2.23 SApM. Araujo has only been stopped once (TKO) and that was way back in 2017. She’s a durable fighter, but Silva is expected to push for the title at flyweight.

Aliaskhab Khizriev s. Makhmud Muradov Prediction

  • Fight Odds: Khizriev (-145) vs. Muradov (+125)

Khizriev (12-0) won his UFC debut against Denis Tiuliulin. Muradov (26-8) has a lot of power (17 TKO/KO wins), but he’s 1-2 in his last three UFC fights after starting out 3-0 when he joined the promotion.

Muradov averages 4.21 SLpM, 2.56 SApM and 3.04 takedowns per 15 minutes. Khizriev averages 6.03 SLpM, 4.36 SApM and 5.77 takedowns per 15 minutes. Both guys have strong TD defense as well. Will Muradov win by TKO/KO or will Khizriev be able to tap out his opponent?

Luana Carolina vs. Julija Stoliarenko Prediction

  • Fight Odds: Carolina (+125) vs. Stoliarenko (-145)

Carolina (9-4) snapped a two-fight losing streak by defeating Ivana Siric Petrovic last time out. Stoliarenko defeated Molly McCann by submission in her last fight. Stoliarenko has ten submission wins.

Stoliarenko averages 2.81 SLpM, 4.56 SApM and 1.4 submission attempts per 15 minutes. Carolina has a striking edge (4.65 SLpM and 4.00 SApM). Carolina has been tapped once in her career. Carolina only has two TKO/KO wins. I fear the lack of power will allow Stoliarenko to lock in a submission to win.

I’m taking a shot on Stoliarenko on my UFC Fight Night 235 predictions.
