We Have Your MLB Expert Picks This Postseason – October 17

Several of our MLB expert picks were right on the money yesterday as the Texas Rangers and Philadelphia Phillies picked up wins in their respective pennant series. The Rangers beat Houston 5-4 to take a 2-0 lead as the series now heads to Globe Life Field in Arlington. The Phillies got off to a quick start with a Kyle Schwarber home run on the game’s very first pitch. Philly went on to hit a total of three home runs and beat Arizona 5-3 in Game 1 of the NLCS last night.

Sports Hub handicappers offered up their Cowboys picks for last night in addition to their winning MLB expert picks. They will continue to offer MLB expert picks throughout the rest of baseball’s postseason. Once the ALCS and NLCS are decided, the two league champions will meet for the World Series. We will be right here providing you great content as well as our MLB expert picks.

Who to Tail for MLB Expert Picks

What we do here, of course, is offer a ridiculous number of daily sports picks to our community of bettors. We have free picks, computer picks, and premium service plays. Among our predictions at this time of year are MLB expert picks for the postseason. We have a number of guys who have been excellent over the last 30 days.

Ben Miller is one of the top handicappers in the world. Over the last 30 days, his MLB expert picks are winning at a 59.46 percent clip and he has added $602 to his bankroll. James Acker (61.29%) is actually over 60 percent with his MLB expert picks. Guys like Sal Lombardi (57.14%), Tonny Ricci (56.41%), and Seth Cohen (56.25%) are all winning at a similar pace and it’s just the tip of the iceberg. Our baseball computer picks are 10-4 (71.43%)!

Underdogs Lead the Way on the Leaderboard

Winning more bets is always good, but sometimes you can get away with a subpar performance and add big money to your bankroll. That’s exactly what SWJ Sports did yesterday. Betting on underdogs is risky, but when you play it right you can win big. Scott at SWJ Sports chose to ride six underdogs. Despite only getting three wins, he was yesterday’s top dog.

SWJ Sports Wins Big on Underdogs

Let’s take a look.

  • Underdogs bite: As mentioned, SWJ Sports was our leader yesterday with a 3-3 record but $693 in winnings. The biggest win was the Chicago Blackhawks in a 4-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs. Remember, Auston Matthews started the season with back-to-back hat tricks and the Blackhawks haven’t won more than 28 games in each of the last three seasons. Chicago was a +548 underdog.
  • MLB expert picks: Mike Kelly offered up two MLB expert picks among his three yesterday. He won a live bet on the Phillies and correctly predicted the Rangers to win Game 2 of their series. Add in the Cowboys to cover and Mike went 3-0 and took home $330 for the day. He has more MLB expert picks for tonight for all those who like wins.
  • Sports Investors: The Sports Investors have been here before. They have provided numerous MLB expert picks over the course of the season and nailed one on the Phillies last night. In total, Sports Investors went 3-0 and won $317. They’ve got a number of NHL picks for tonight. They were 2-0 on NHL picks yesterday.
  • Mario’s MLB expert picks: Mario Deluca is back at the top of the board with a 3-0 day yesterday. He correctly predicted the Rangers victory for the second game in a row to win $310. Over the last two days, Mario is 4-1 with $421 in winnings.
  • Cousin Eddie: It would be great if I had a cousin Eddie, but I don’t. I do have a cousin named Computer PIcks though. Computer Picks released five picks yesterday and went 4-1. There were four NBA picks and one of the total on last night’s Cowboys-Chargers game. Cousin CP hit three of the NBA picks and correctly picked the Under in last night’s NFL game to win $290. Another solid day for my cousin who rounded out yesterday’s Top 5.

Keep These on Your Radar

This is a great time of year with the NHL underway and the NBA just a few days away from beginning its season. We’re just about at the midpoint of the college football season and the NFL has played six weeks already. Every day, there are tons of opportunities on betting boards everywhere.

Finding betting value is one of the keys to winning more bets. You know what else is a key? Information. You have to have quality information. I help provide that information in this section where I identify trending sports news. One little piece of information provided here could win you a big bet somewhere along the way. That’s why I do it.

Let’s see what’s hot today.

  1. Phillies: Philadelphia won another home playoff game last night. They did it the same way they have been destroying the competition this postseason – with home run blasts. Bryce Harper hit a 420-foot shot in the first inning to celebrate his 31st birthday. Philadelphia has now hit 12 home runs in its last three games. They have 16 in their seven playoff games this season and they are averaging 5.1 runs per game. Philly plays again tonight. Check our MLB expert picks before placing your wagers.
  2. Hot seat: Chargers head coach Brandon Staley is sitting on a much hotter seat than he was a week ago. The Chargers had tied the game at 17-17 in the fourth quarter before giving up a monster Dallas drive that led to the game-winning field goal with 2:19 left in the game. On the subsequent Chargers drive, QB Justin Herbert threw an interception ending the Bolts hopes. It may have ended Staley’s hopes of remaining in LA.
  1. Richardson done: Colts rookie QB Anthony Richardson is probably done for the season. He suffered a sprain of the AC joint in his throwing shoulder. Richardson has received a number of medical opinions, many of which suggest surgery. That would put him on IR for the remainder of the 2023 season.
  2. Scary situation: Belgium and Sweden were playing in a European championship qualifying soccer match yesterday when a shooting took place in the city of Brussels where the game was being played. The game was suspended with the score tied at 1-1. Belgium has already qualified to advance and Sweden could finish no higher than third in its group. The match likely will not be completed.
  3. Georgia: The Bulldogs are still the No. 1 team in the nation, but they will play without TE Brock Bowers for at least the next four weeks and likely longer. Bowers, the No. 1 TE in the nation, suffered a high ankle sprain in last week’s win over Vanderbilt. He is going to have the same surgery that Tua Tagovailoa had when he suffered the same injury at Alabama. He missed four games.

MLB Expert Picks for DBacks-Phillies Game Tonight

Game 2 of the DBacks-Phillies National League Championship series is set for tonight. Merrill Kelly (12-8, 3.29) will start for Arizona. Aaron Nola (12-9, 4.46) gets the nod for the Phillies. The starting pitching always plays a big role in our MLB expert picks. You can check those out in the SportsHub members’ area.

NLCS Game 2 Is Tonight in Philadelphia

Baseball isn’t the only thing on today’s sports schedule. We’ve got some early week college football to go along with the NHL and NBA preseason. Not bad for a random October Tuesday.

Here’s what is on the schedule today.

  • Soccer: There is a ton of international soccer today. International friendlies are the big thing today with roughly two dozen or so such matches. Team USA will face Ghana tonight in Nashville. There is also FIFA World Cup qualifying and UEFA qualifying.
  • College football: Conference USA and the Sun Belt keep delivering these Tuesday and Wednesday night college football games. It’s awesome! It also gives bettors some football betting opportunities during the week. If you do not have a Sports Hub membership, get one ASAP. Here’s why. Our college football computer picks are 64-37 (63.37%) over the last 30 days. A $100 bettor would be up $2330 right now!
  • NLCS Game 2: Philadelphia is 27-11 at home since moving to Citizens Bank Park in 2004. They have won all five of their home playoff games this season and are favored to do so again tonight. Remember, MLB expert picks for the game are available here at Sports Hub.
  • Hockey: Nine NHL games are on tap for tonight. One of those pits Dallas at defending Stanley Cup champion Vegas. The Golden Knights are off to a 3-0 start this season. Our Sports Hub Free Picks are destroying the NHL books. Over the past seven days, if you had tailed our free NHL picks, you’d be up $430!
  • NBA preseason: Only two more days of the NBA preseason are left. After a few days off, the regular season will begin on Tuesday, October 24. We will meet all of your NBA betting needs with content from our experts as well as NBA expert handicapper picks.
  • Tennis: Top-seeded Taylor Fritz advanced in the Kinoshita Group Japan Open Championships yesterday. Fritz is the tournament’s defending champion. Second-round play continues today. The BNP Paribas Nordic Open in Sweden and the European Open also continue. On the WTA tour, the Jiangxi Open, Transylvania Open, Jasmin Open Monastir, and the Aguascalientes Open all continue today. Check the members’ area for tennis picks.

It’s a great day for sports fans and bettors! It’s an even better day when you can partner with Sports Hub to get all of your MLB expert picks, NFL picks, NBA picks, etc. Save time and win more bets with the help of our experts. Hopefully, you’re on the right side of the action today. Come back tomorrow and we’ll do this again.
