We have had some big market movers after Week 7. There is a lot of hype surrounding the Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson right now. Are they serious contenders? Find out in my Week 7 NFL Futures Report!

Week 7 NFL Futures – Top Markets

Since the start of the season, I have been examining the changing odds for some of the main NFL futures markets. Here are the six markets that I will be analyzing for Week 7 NFL futures:

  • Super Bowl Winner
  • AFC Champions
  • NFC Champions
  • MVP
  • Offensive Rookie of the Year
  • Defensive Rookie of the Year

We have now had seven weeks of football in the NFL in 2023. That means we now know which teams are most likely to compete and which ones aren’t. The likes of the Kansas City Chiefs, the Philadelphia Eagles and the San Francisco 49ers look like the strongest teams thus far.

It also means we have a better idea of which players are going to perform the best this season too. Players like Patrick Mahomes, Tua Tagovailoa and Jalen Hurts are currently leading the MVP race.

In terms of rookies, C.J. Stroud, Jalen Carter and Puka Nacua have been impressing the most. How are the odds looking for Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year awards? Let’s find out in my Week 7 NFL Futures Report.

Super Bowl Winner

Let’s kick off my Week 7 NFL Futures Report by analyzing the odds for the Super Bowl winner. Yes, the main futures market. The question that every football fan wants the answer to. Here are the odds to win the Super Bowl after Week 6:

  • San Francisco 49ers (+425)
  • Kansas City Chiefs (+500)
  • Philadelphia Eagles (+750)
  • Buffalo Bills (+900)
  • Miami Dolphins (+1000)
  • Dallas Cowboys (+1100)
  • Detroit Lions (+1300)
  • Baltimore Ravens (+1600)
  • Jacksonville Jaguars (+2500)
  • Cincinnati Bengals (+2500)

Successive defeats for the Niners has come as a bit of a surprise but they still remain one of the top contenders to win the Super Bowl. Nevertheless, aftering winning six in a row, the Chiefs are favorites once again.

Below are the updated odds for the Super Bowl winner after Week 7:

  • Kansas City Chiefs (+450)
  • San Francisco 49ers (+475)
  • Philadelphia Eagles (+600)
  • Miami Dolphins (+1000)
  • Dallas Cowboys (+1000)
  • Buffalo Bills (+1200)
  • Baltimore Ravens (+1200)
  • Detroit Lions (+1500)
  • Jacksonville Jaguars (+2400)
  • Cincinnati Bengals (+2500)

The Buffalo Bills have gotten longer as they continue to display their inconsistencies. They are currently 5-3 and suffered a disappointing Week 7 loss against the New England Patriots. However, they bounced back on Thursday Night Football with a 24-18 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

AFC Champions

How about just the AFC? Take a look at the odds for the top five candidates through Week 6:

  • Kansas City Chiefs (+220)
  • Miami Dolphins (+460)
  • Buffalo Bills (+470)
  • Baltimore Ravens (+800)
  • Jacksonville Jaguars (+1200)

The Ravens have been big movers in terms of winning the Super Bowl and they have also gotten shorter to win the AFC. They went 5-2 last week after recording a comprehensive 38-6 win over the Detroit Lions.

Check out the updated odds for the AFC champion after Week 7 here:

  • Kansas City Chiefs (+210)
  • Buffalo Bills (+500)
  • Miami Dolphins (+600)
  • Baltimore Ravens (+700)
  • Jacksonville Jaguars (+1100)

After losing 31-17 to the Eagles, the Miami Dolphins are no longer second favorites to win the AFC. They seem to be a level below the top contenders. Could they make some late trades before the deadline?

NFC Champions

Heading over to the NFC now, let’s see which teams are the most likely to go on and win the conference after Week 6:

  • San Francisco 49ers (+165)
  • Philadelphia Eagles (+300)
  • Detroit Lions (+550)
  • Dallas Cowboys (+550)
  • Seattle Seahawks (+2000)

The Eagles have quickly caught up to the 49ers, despite San Francisco still being the favorites. Philadelphia really impressed in their win over Miami, especially after A.J. Brown caught ten passes for 137 yards and a touchdown. They will be a popular selection after Week 7 NFL futures.

How have odds changed after Week 7? Check out the updated odds here:

  • San Francisco 49ers (+210)
  • Philadelphia Eagles (+245)
  • Dallas Cowboys (+500)
  • Detroit Lions (+600)
  • Seattle Seahawks (+1600)

The Lions have gotten slightly longer after they were beaten handsomely by the Ravens during Week 7. They will look to bounce back against the Las Vegas Raiders during Week 8.

Despite suffering a Week 6 loss at Cincinnati, the Seattle Seahawks were able to bounce back on Sunday with a 20-10 victory over NFC West rivals the Arizona Cardinals. Their price to win the NFC has come in massively from +2000 to +1600.

MVP

Next up in Week 7 NFL futures is MVP. I have been analyzing the top ten contenders to win MVP every week. It is one of the most popular NFL futures markets to bet on. Here are the odds after Week 6:

  • Tua Tagovailoa (+350) QB Miami Dolphins
  • Patrick Mahomes (+375) QB Kansas City Chiefs
  • Josh Allen (+700) QB Buffalo Bills
  • Jalen Hurts (+800) QB Philadelphia Eagles
  • Brock Purdy (+1000) QB San Francisco 49ers
  • Lamar Jackson (+1500) QB Baltimore Ravens
  • Jared Goff (+2000) QB Detroit Lions
  • Trevor Lawrence (+2000) QB Jacksonville Jaguars
  • Christian McCaffrey (+2500) RB San Francisco 49ers
  • Justin Herbert (+2500) QB Los Angeles Chargers

The MVP futures market appears to be one of the most frenetic. Odds change pretty drastically each week, whilst we are always seeing a new favorite.

Mahomes has returned as the most likely to win it this year after the Chiefs went 6-1 with a dominating 31-17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.

Here are the latest odds for the top ten contenders to win MVP through Week 7:

  • Patrick Mahomes (+200) QB Kansas City Chiefs
  • Tua Tagovailoa (+400) QB Miami Dolphins
  • Jalen Hurts (+450) QB Philadelphia Eagles
  • Lamar Jackson (+700) QB Baltimore Ravens
  • Josh Allen (+1200) QB Buffalo Bills
  • Brock Purdy (+2000) QB San Francisco 49ers
  • Trevor Lawrence (+2000) QB Jacksonville Jaguars
  • Christian McCaffrey (+3000) RB San Francisco 49ers
  • Jared Goff (+3500) QB Detroit Lions
  • Justin Herbert (+4000) QB Los Angeles Chargers

Three poor weeks in a row has seen Justin Herbert’s price get a lot longer as he has moved from +2500 to +4000. He has thrown four picks over his last three games and the Chargers are struggling.

Jackson has been trending up massively after he dominated the Lions last week. LJ threw for 357 yards and three touchdowns in Week 7 and kept it clean by throwing zero interceptions. He also rushed for 36 yards and a score.

Offensive Rookie of the Year

The first of Week 7 NFL futures for rookies takes a look at odds for Offensive Rookie of the Year. Check out the odds of the top contenders after Week 6:

  • C.J. Stroud (-175) QB Houston Texans
  • Puka Nacua (+450) WR Los Angeles Rams
  • Bijan Robinson (+550) RB Atlanta Falcons
  • Jordan Addison (+1600) WR Minnesota Vikings
  • Zay Flowers (+2000) WR Baltimore Ravens

Stroud’s price has been cut again after Week 7, despite the Houston Texans being on bye. He is currently performing the best out of all rookie quarterbacks, according to PFF. They have also graded him higher than the likes of Brock Purdy and Joe Burrow in 2023.

Let’s see how the odds have updated after Week 7:

  • C.J. Stroud (-210) QB Houston Texans
  • Puka Nacua (+300) WR Los Angeles Rams
  • Jordan Addison (+1500) WR Minnesota Vikings
  • Bijan Robinson (+1600) RB Atlanta Falcons
  • Zay Flowers (+2000) WR Baltimore Ravens

Bijan Robinson only had one carry against the Bucs during Week 7. He has reportedly been dealing with illness. However, his lack of production over the last couple of weeks has seen his price gotten way longer from +550 to +1600.

Defensive Rookie of the Year

Below you can check out the odds for Defensive Rookie of the Year after Week 6:

  • Jalen Carter (-175) DT Philadelphia Eagles
  • Devon Witherspoon (+275) CB Seattle Seahawks
  • Will Anderson Jr. (+1000) DE Houston Texans
  • Brian Branch (+1400) S Detroit Lions
  • Tuli Tuipulotu (+3000) LB Los Angeles Chargers

There has been very little movement to win DROY. Jalen Carter remains the favorite as his incredible rookie season continues.

Here are the latest odds for DROY after Week 7:

  • Jalen Carter (-175) DT Philadelphia Eagles
  • Devon Witherspoon (+200) CB Seattle Seahawks
  • Will Anderson Jr. (+1100) DE Houston Texans
  • Brian Branch (+1100) S Detroit Lions
  • Christian Gonzalez (+3300) CB New England Patriots

However, Devon Witherspoon still has a chance and he has been excellent in his first year in the NFL, outperforming all corners in the league according to PFF.
