Get Ready for NFL Service Plays from our Winning Cappers
While we prep for Thursday’s NFL kickoff game and the NFL service plays that go with it, Sports Hub handicappers got it done yesterday. Another top-3 dominated by Sports Hub exclusive cappers, who each went unbeaten on Sunday. Our guys just keep on winning!
Here’s how yesterday’s leaderboard played out.
- Big Day for Bill: Sports Hub expert William Taylor led yesterday’s leaderboard with a perfect 4-0 day. Mr. Taylor proved his value with winning picks in three different sports – MLB, CFB, and WNBA. The four wins put $435 into his bankroll and that puts Mr. Taylor up $1798 for the last 30 days. He has NFL service plays for Week 1 in the system already.
- Pete & Re-Pete: Remember Mario Deluca? He was here in my leaderboard report from Saturday. He’s back again with another perfect 3-0 day. Mario’s three wins netted him $353. That gives him 6 wins in two days and winnings of $653!
- Another familiar name: James Acker is a Sports Hub expert capper that we have heard a lot about. He continually finds his way into the daily top-3 or top-5. Yesterday, he went 3-0 and won $300. He’s our ninth-ranked MLB capper, so you can tail him through the rest of the regular season and the playoffs. He also is a guy to watch for NFL service plays this football season. He’s got a few in the system for Week 1.
- Impressive again: Of the top-30 cappers on my board yesterday, all but one (Ryan Davis 2-1) went unbeaten and won at least $100. I’m not just saying this to toot our horn, but our Sports Hub handicappers have been killing it! If you want to a winning football season, turn to Sports Hub for the NFL service plays that will get you there.
Alonso, FSU QB and the Duck Among Trending Sports
Pete Alonso has moved himself into a very elite club. Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis could say the same after his performance against LSU last night. The Oregon Duck might be training for the next Mr. Olympia…or at least for the Guiness Book of World Records. NFL service plays aren’t trending just yet, but they soon will be.
Here’s what Sports Hub sees trending in sports today.
- Alonso in Hall of Fame company: Mets slugger Pete Alonso blasted two homers last night as New York beat Seattle 6-3. The two dingers gave Alonso 41 for the season, which puts him in some seriously elite company. He is now one of just five major leaguers to hit 40 or more homers in each of his first five MLB seasons. The others are Ralph Kiner, Eddie Mathews, Ryan Howard, and Albert Pujols.

- Jordan Travis: The Florida State QB was magical in last night’s 45-24 in over No. 5 LSU. Travis completed 23-of-31 passes for 342 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also ran 7 times for 38 yards and scored once on the ground. The Seminoles will likely move up in the rankings after the dominating victory.
- Oregon Duck: The Oregon mascot, Puddles the Duck, got some well-needed rest yesterday. On Saturday, Puddles had a nice workout. He did 546 pushups! Yep, Oregon beat Portland State on Saturday 81-7. Puddles does pushups after every score. When it was all said and done, he cranked out 546 of them. Kudos of Puddles!
- Astros sweep: For the first time since 2013, the New York Yankees swept the Houston Astros. The Yankees won 6-1 on Sunday night to complete the sweep. More importantly, the loss drops Houston into a second-place tie with Texas in the AL West Division.
Plenty of Sports Action This Labor Day
Fans and bettors in the US will be kicking back and enjoying a beautiful Labor Day holiday. It’s no holiday from sports though, and the schedule has quite a bit to offer for a Monday. There’s still one more college football game on the schedule and, of course, there is baseball. We get treated to the NFL later this week, which means plenty of NFL service plays available here at Sports Hub.
Before we get there, here’s what’s happening today.
- Labor Day baseball: If you live in one of the 11 cities hosting an MLB game today, you can sit back and enjoy. A handful of teams are off today as MLB gets ready for its early season series.
- One last hurrah: What a weekend for college football! This week we get pro football and that means NFL service plays from the best handicappers in the game. Before we get to that, have a little No. 9 Clemson at Duke tonight. We’ve got college football picks for that game in the system.
- College soccer: NCAA men’s soccer heads up the Monday soccer schedule. Most of the major soccer leagues around the world are off today. There are several South American leagues that have action today.
- US Open: Men’s top seed Carlos Alcaraz is in action today at the US Open. He’ll face unseeded Matteo Arnaldi. Novak Djokovic won yesterday and will face Taylor Fritz tomorrow. No. 1 seed Iga Swiatek lost yesterday in the women’s singles tournament. That opens the door for No. 6 Coco Gauff who advanced to the quarterfinals with a win over Caroline Wozniacki. No. 2 seed Aryna Sabalenka plays No. 13 Daria Kasatkina today.

- World Cup hoops: The FIBA World Cup is actually off today, but the United States plays its first game in the knockout round on Tuesday morning against Italy. Team USA lost its final game of the second round to Lithuania. It’s now win or go home for Team USA and the others that remain.
- Double helping of football: Wait, there’s more football today? Yes, there is! It’s a CFL doubleheader. Before we get to some NFL service plays on Thursday, we’ve got two games up north. Defending Grey Cup champ Toronto is at Hamilton and Edmonton plays at Calgary in the night game.
There’s your Labor Day Monday lineup. Not too bad to start the week. Remember, Thursday we kick off the NFL season with Detroit at Kansas City. Sunday brings us a full card of NFL games and SportsHub handicappers will be basking in their glory providing winning NFL service plays for all of our bettors. While we can’t wait for that, we are going to enjoy today. You do the same and come back again tomorrow for a recap of how our winning cappers did today.
