We might have to analyze the MLB postseason after we conclude our Thursday night football analysis. What is going on?! It’s been great for fans and hopefully for you as well, but there have been some major upsets throughout the entire MLB playoffs. They lead today’s trending sports news.

• Snake bit: The Arizona Diamondbacks were underdogs in all three of their games against the Los Angeles Dodgers. If you had backed the DBacks in all three games as a $100 bettor, you would have added $430 to your bankroll. Arizona will face the winner of the Braves-Phillies series in the NLCS.

• All-Texas ALCS: The Houston Astros beat the Minnesota Twins 3-2 last night to advance to their seventh straight ALCS. The win sets up a showdown with the Texas Rangers.
• Aces are wild: After struggling against the Liberty during the regular season, Las Vegas has opened up a dominant 2-0 lead over New York in the WNBA Finals. Aja Wilson scored 26 points and the Aces shot 52.9 percent from the field in a 104-76 victory. Game 3 is Sunday in New York.
• Red October: As if there haven’t been enough surprises this MLB postseason, the Philadelphia Phillies took a 2-1 series lead over the Atlanta Braves with a huge 10-2 win last night. Bryce Harper and Nick Castellanos each homered twice and the Phillies hit six dingers in total. Game 4 is tonight.
• Huskies hype: In our Thursday night football analysis, we uncovered the No. 7 Washington Huskies. With Michael Penix Jr. at quarterback, the Huskies lead the nation in total offense (569.4 yards per game), passing offense (446.4 ypg), and they are third in scoring (46.0 ppg).

7. Men’s Tennis: The quarterfinals of the Rolex Shanghai Masters take place today. No. 18 Grigor Dimitrov, who knocked out Carlos Alcaraz, will face No. 22 Nicolas Jarry. Ben Shelton (19th) takes on Sebastian Korda (26th) in an All-USA matchup.
8. Women’s Tennis: On the women’s side, the Prudential Hong Kong Open, Hana Bank Korea Open, Zhengzhou Open, and Open de Rouen Capfinances are all underway. Jessica Pegula is the top seed in the Hana Bank Open. She will face Claire Liu today in a quarterfinal matchup. Check out our tennis picks.
9. PGA Tour: The Shriners Children’s Open begins today at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas. Ludvig Aberg (+1100) is the overall favorite to win followed by last year’s winner Tom Kim (+1200).
10. LPGA Tour: Wichanee Meechai and Maja Stark ended Round 1 of the Buick LPGA Shanghai tied at 66. Second round play begins today.
