Third-seeded Beatriz Haddad Maia of Brazil recorded a win over both of the Kudermetova sisters on Saturday to advance to the finals of the Korea Open in Seoul.
Haddad Maia breezed to a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Polina Kudermetova of Russia in the quarterfinals before notching her 11th win in her past 13 matches with a 6-4, 6-4 triumph over Veronika Kudermetova in the semifinals. Both matches were contested on Saturday, one day after rain wiped out the schedule.

Also Saturday, top-seeded Daria Kasatkina of Russia defeated both former U.S. Open champion Emma Raducanu and fourth-seeded countrywoman Diana Shnaider to advance to the final. Shnaider bested Ukraine’s Marta Kostyuk, the No. 5 seed, 7-6 (7), 6-3 to reach Kasatkina, who will face Haddad Maia in the tournament final on Sunday.
