Porsche Tennis Grand Prix – Stuttgart, Germany

Unseeded Jelena Ostapenko of Latvia extended her dominance over Iga Swiatek, defeating the second-seeded Pole 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 in Saturday’s quarterfinals of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. Ostapenko is now 6-0 all-time against the world No. 2 and five-time Grand Slam winner.

The victory sends Ostapenko into Sunday’s semifinal against unseeded Ekaterina Alexandrova, who shocked third-seeded Jessica Pegula 6-0, 6-4 in just 81 minutes. Alexandrova’s aggressive play and clean serving sealed the biggest upset of the day in Stuttgart.

Top seed Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus, playing her first match of the tournament after a bye and a walkover, cruised past former doubles partner Elise Mertens 6-4, 6-1. She’ll face fifth seed Jasmine Paolini in the second semifinal. The Italian ousted fourth-seeded Coco Gauff 6-4, 6-3, continuing her impressive 2025 campaign.
