National Championship Picks for April 8
Best Pick ATS
When looking to make the best National Championship pick for Apr 8, looking at the betting spread will really stand out. These are clearly the two best teams in the country, and it should lead to a great battle on Monday night.
UConn has been blowing teams out during this NCAA Tournament run, but Purdue has the weapons to at least make this a battle. Taking the 6.5 points and backing Purdue is going to be the top betting pick to explore on Monday night.
Best Moneyline Pick
The UConn Huskies are the number one overall team in the NCAA Tournament for a reason, and they just haven’t been tested. Even when UConn isn’t playing their best basketball, they have been able to come up with enough plays to create some separation.
It’s not easy to win back-to-back national championships, but it feels like UConn is going to be the team that can do it. Betting on the UConn Huskies on the money line is one of the top National Championship picks for April 8.
Best Total Pick
UConn and Purdue are two of the best offensive teams in the country this season, and taking the over does seem like a tempting option. While that might be true, these teams are also good enough to set the tone on defense as well.
The over/under for this game is set at 145.5 total points, but that number is simply too high when looking at each team. 75 points will be enough to win this game, and that means that taking the under is going to be the right bet.
Best Player Prop
There are going to be a ton of great players on the floor in this game, and the players will decide the game. UConn appears to have more NBA-ready players, but Purdue is coming into this game with the best college player this season.
Zach Edey has been putting up some massive numbers throughout the NCAA Tournament run, and no one has an answer for him. Betting on Edey to get a double-double will be a good wager, as he is going to set the tone in the paint in this game.
Best Team Prop
The Purdue Boilermakers have had a dominant run in the NCAA Tournament, and they have been able to score points on everyone. Purdue will need to make shots in this game, and that’s not something that they always do well.
UConn is getting a ton of recognition for how well they can score the basketball, but this is also a great defensive team. Betting on the Boilermakers to score less than 70 points is going to be one of the top bets to make in this matchup.
