NFL futures continue to be widely talked about so it’s time for Sports Hub’s Week 3 NFL futures report. I have been tracking the odds for NFL futures each week. It will be interesting to see how prices have changed after another week of football.

The San Francisco 49ers’ stock has been rising after going 3-0 to start the season, whilst the Kansas City Chiefs are also a popular choice. They managed to move above .500 last week as they defeated the Chicago Bears 41-10.

The hype surrounding Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins is real and their offense is super hot right now. They absolutely smashed Sean Payton’s Denver Broncos in Week 2. How are these performances affecting NFL futures? Check out my Week 3 NFL futures report below to find out!

Week 3 NFL Futures – Top Markets

Each week I will be tracking the prices for six of the top NFL futures markets. Odds are ever-changing with performances and injuries each week impacting prices the most.

Here are the markets that will be the focus of Week 3 NFL futures:

  • Super Bowl Winner
  • AFC Champions
  • NFC Champions
  • MVP
  • Offensive Rookie of the Year
  • Defensive Rookie of the Year

As we progress further through the season, the easier it will become to identify and target the best futures selections. Therefore, make sure you are keeping up with Sports Hub’s weekly futures report. That way you will know the best time to place your futures bets. Below you will find the biggest market movers in Week 3 NFL futures.

Super Bowl Winner

Like last week, my Week 3 NFL futures report will start by looking at the odds for the Super Bowl winner. Let’s take a look at the odds for the top ten candidates from Week 2:

  • Kansas City Chiefs (+600)
  • San Francisco 49ers (+650)
  • Philadelphia Eagles (+750)
  • Dallas Cowboys (+750)
  • Baltimore Ravens (+1000)
  • Buffalo Bills (+1000)
  • Miami Dolphins (+1300)
  • Cincinnati Bengals (+1900)
  • Detroit Lions (+2200)
  • Jacksonville Jaguars (+2500)

The 49ers have gotten slightly shorter compared to Week 2 and are now joint favorites to win the Super Bowl. Kyle Shanahan’s team has looked elite in 2023 and easily defeated the New York Giants in Week 3.

Here are the updated odds for the top ten candidates after Week 3:

  • Kansas City Chiefs (+600)
  • San Francisco 49ers (+600)
  • Philadelphia Eagles (+700)
  • Miami Dolphins (+900)
  • Buffalo Bills (+1000)
  • Dallas Cowboys (+1000)
  • Baltimore Ravens (+1400)
  • Cincinnati Bengals (+2000)
  • Detroit Lions (+2000)
  • Cleveland Browns (+2500)

The biggest movers have been with the Dolphins as their offense exploded against the Broncos in a crazy 70-20 victory. They are looking like serious contenders. However, the Dallas Cowboys’ odds have gotten significantly longer as they surprisingly lost 28-16 to the Arizona Cardinals.

AFC Champions

Now I will analyze the market changes for the AFC champion. Here’s a look at the odds after Week 2:

  • Kansas City Chiefs (+325)
  • Buffalo Bills (+550)
  • Baltimore Ravens (+600)
  • Miami Dolphins (+700)
  • Cincinnati Bengals (+950)

The top five candidates remain the same compared from Week 2 to Week 3. However, we have seen some slight changes in the odds. The Dolphins, as expected, have gotten a lot shorter. They are an incredibly popular pick this season.

Below are the updated odds for AFC champions:

  • Kansas City Chiefs (+310)
  • Buffalo Bills (+500)
  • Miami Dolphins (+550)
  • Baltimore Ravens (+650)
  • Cincinnati Bengals (+950)

The Baltimore Ravens have gotten slightly longer as they disappointed in Week 3 with a 22-19 defeat against the Indianapolis Colts. The Bengals finally got their first win of the season on Monday as they beat the Los Angeles Rams 19-16.

NFC Champions

We now move onto the NFC in my Week 3 NFL futures report. Below are the odds for the NFC Champions from Week 2:

  • San Francisco 49ers (+300)
  • Dallas Cowboys (+350)
  • Philadelphia Eagles (+350)
  • Detroit Lions (+1000)
  • New Orleans Saints (+1500)

The Cowboys are the biggest market shifters in the NFC following their shock defeat in the desert. The Cardinals were expected to be one of the worst teams in the NFL this year and that looked set to be true after starting 0-2. Nevertheless, Jonathan Gannon proved his team has got what it takes after defeating Dallas in Week 3.

Here are the updated odds for the NFC Champions:

  • San Francisco 49ers (+250)
  • Philadelphia Eagles (+320)
  • Dallas Cowboys (+470)
  • Detroit Lions (+850)
  • New Orleans Saints (+1400)

The Eagles have now moved above the Cowboys as the second favorite to win the NFC. They went 3-0 on Monday after beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 25-11. D’Andre Swift had an excellent game as he rushed for 130 yards from 16 carries.

The Lions could be a decent outside selection after they moved to 3-1 following their Thursday Night Football win over the Green Bay Packers.

MVP

It’s time to move over to the players’ futures markets now and Week 3 NFL futures will take a look at MVP. Here’s a reminder of the odds from Week 2:

  • Patrick Mahomes (+500) QB Kansas City Chiefs
  • Tua Tagovailoa (+600) QB Miami Dolphins
  • Jalen Hurts (+850) QB Philadelphia Eagles
  • Josh Allen (+900) QB Buffalo Bills
  • Trevor Lawrence (+1200) QB Jacksonville Jaguars
  • Lamar Jackson (+1200) QB Baltimore Ravens
  • Justin Herbert (+1400) QB Los Angeles Chargers
  • Joe Burrow (+1500) QB Cincinnati Bengals
  • Dak Prescott (+1500) QB Dallas Cowboys
  • Brock Purdy (+2000) QB San Francisco 49ers

Tua has overtaken Mahomes as favorite to win MVP and it comes as no surprise. The Dolphins signal caller has been on fire and is averaging 341 passing yards per game this season. He has completed 71.3% of his passes too, throwing eight touchdowns for only two interceptions.

Check out the updated odds for MVP after Week 3:

  • Tua Tagovailoa (+300) QB Miami Dolphins
  • Patrick Mahomes (+500) QB Kansas City Chiefs
  • Jalen Hurts (+750) QB Philadelphia Eagles
  • Josh Allen (+900) QB Buffalo Bills
  • Lamar Jackson (+1400) QB Baltimore Ravens
  • Justin Herbert (+1400) QB Los Angeles Chargers
  • Brock Purdy (+1800) QB San Francisco 49ers
  • Trevor Lawrence (+2000) QB Jacksonville Jaguars
  • Joe Burrow (+2000) QB Cincinnati Bengals
  • Dak Prescott (+2200) QB Dallas Cowboys

Trevor Lawrence has been trending down as he hasn’t got quite going for the Jaguars this season. He looked uninspiring as his team lost 37-17 against the Houston Texans last week. Joe Burrow has also gotten a lot longer as his poor start continues. Back him now if you think he will get back to his best later on in the year.

Offensive Rookie of the Year

We’re now three weeks into the new season and we are getting a pretty good picture at what rookies will flourish in their maiden seasons. However, there is still plenty of time left and many rookies could break out later on in the year. Here are the odds for Offensive Rookie of the Year from Week 2:

  • Bijan Robinson (+175) RB Atlanta Falcons
  • Anthony Richardson (+300) QB Indianapolis Colts
  • Puka Nacua (+650) WR Los Angeles Rams
  • Zay Flowers (+1300) WR Baltimore Ravens
  • C.J. Stroud (+1300) QB Houston Texans

Bijan Robinson’s price was cut massively after his fantastic performance against the Green Bay Packers in Week 2. However, he slowed down in Week 3 against the Detroit Lions, rushing for just 33 yards from 10 carries. His price has moved to +300 as a result.

Below are the updated OROY prices for the top five contenders:

  • Bijan Robinson (+300) RB Atlanta Falcons
  • C.J. Stroud (+350) QB Houston Texans
  • Anthony Richardson (+450) QB Indianapolis Colts
  • Puka Nacua (+700) WR Los Angeles Rams
  • Zay Flowers (+1000) WR Baltimore Ravens

C.J. Stroud’s price has come in massively compared to Week 2. His Week 3 performance helped the Texans to a win over the Jaguars and Stroud outshined Lawrence, throwing for 280 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions. He is still yet to throw a single pick in his NFL career.

Defensive Rookie of the Year

As always, the final market I will be analyzing for Week 3 NFL futures is Defensive Rookie of the Year. Here are the odds for the top five after Week 2:

  • Jalen Carter (+225) DT Philadelphia Eagles
  • Will Anderson Jr. (+500) DE Houston Texans
  • Christian Gonzalez (+850) CB New England Patriots
  • Lukas Van Ness (+2000) OLB Green Bay Packers
  • Tyree Wilson (+2000) DE Las Vegas Raiders

It would come as a real surprise if Carter doesn’t go on to win DROY. He already looks like an absolute stud and has slotted in perfectly on the Eagles’ defensive line. Carter impressed yet again on Monday Night Football up against the Bucs.

Here are the current odds for DROY:

  • Jalen Carter (+125) DT Philadelphia Eagles
  • Will Anderson Jr. (+550) DE Houston Texans
  • Christian Gonzalez (+800) CB New England Patriots
  • Brian Branch (+1200) S Detroit Lions
  • Devon Witherspoon (+2500) CB Seattle Seahawks

Brain Branch and Devon Witherspoon have now entered the top five. However, they are longshot odds due to the superiority of Carter. Nevertheless, Branch impressed against the Packers on Thursday and, despite picking up an injury, it doesn’t look serious.
