Dylan Holloway scored twice as the St. Louis Blues defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs in Toronto. Philip Broberg and Jake Neighbours also scored for St. Louis, while Joseph Woll made 22 saves in his season debut for Toronto.


Wild 4, Lightning 2

Matt Boldy netted the go-ahead goal on a power play, helping the Minnesota Wild top the Tampa Bay Lightning. Kirill Kaprizov scored twice, while Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 23 shots for the Wild.


Red Wings 5, Devils 3

Patrick Kane scored the game-winner late in the third period as the Detroit Red Wings beat the New Jersey Devils. Alex DeBrincat and Dylan Larkin also scored for Detroit. Nico Hischier scored twice for New Jersey, who dropped their third straight game.


Avalanche 5, Utah Hockey Club 1

Casey Mittelstadt tallied a goal and two assists to lead the Colorado Avalanche over the Utah Hockey Club. Cale Makar and Ross Colton also scored for Colorado, while Justus Annunen made 25 saves.

Martin Necas recorded a goal and an assist to guide the Carolina Hurricanes to a victory over the Calgary Flames. Seth Jarvis and Eric Robinson also scored, and goalie Pyotr Kochetkov made 30 saves for Carolina’s fourth win in five games.
