Hubert Hurkacz set the tone with a hard-fought 7-6 (3), 7-5 victory against Billy Harris. Iga Swiatek sealed the match with a comeback 6-7 (4), 6-1, 6-4 win over Katie Boulter in their first career meeting.
Poland, which finished as the runner-up to Germany in last year’s championship, now looks ahead to a semifinal clash with Kazakhstan on Saturday. The other semifinal will see the United States face the winner of Friday’s matchup between Italy and Czechia.

Djokovic Extends Unbeaten Streak Against Monfils
At the Brisbane International, top-seeded Novak Djokovic continued his dominance over Gael Monfils with a 6-3, 6-3 victory, improving to a 20-0 career record against the Frenchman.
Djokovic, now 37, first defeated Monfils in 2005 at the U.S. Open. He will face Reilly Opelka in the quarterfinals after Opelka edged Italy’s Matteo Arnaldi 7-6 (9), 7-6 (4).
Also advancing were Jakub Mensik, who defeated Dusan Lajovic 6-3, 6-2, and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, who upset fourth-seeded Frances Tiafoe 6-4, 7-6 (4).
Rublev Upset at Hong Kong Open
Hungary’s Fabian Marozsan pulled off a significant upset at the Hong Kong Open, defeating top-seeded Andrey Rublev 7-5, 3-6, 6-3 to reach the quarterfinals.
Marozsan will face Juncheng Shang of China, who breezed past Pedro Martinez 6-3, 6-1.
Second-seeded Lorenzo Musetti advanced with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Gabriel Diallo, while Jaume Munar defeated fifth-seeded Nuno Borges in another upset to round out the quarterfinal lineup.
